EuroPruning aims to provide solutions to technical barriers existing to bring to the market a woody solid biofuel produced from the branches, cuttings or stems produced in the horticultural works to permanent crops.

EuroPruning is concerned that several technical problems are related to the uneconomic and difficult logistics to collect the prunings and to treat them. Together with the efforts to bring technical solutions like versatile machinery and improved logistics, the transition to a resource efficient bio-based economy in Europe demands biomass to be obtained under sustainable, low-carbon and cost-efficient schemes.
